Foundation for Youth Employment Pakistan (FYEP) is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. We conduct education-to-employment programs to achieve our vision of enabling a career-launching job for every Pakistani. Our mission is to eradicate unemployment in Pakistan by preparing, placing, and supporting people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. FYEP has served as technical advisor to the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), a not-for-profit organization set up by the Government of Punjab that invests in the development of vocational skills of the poor and vulnerable youth of Punjab, since its inception in 2019 until 2021.
To date, FYEP has launched six unique training programs in the microfinance, retail, customer service, healthcare, programming, and game development sectors. In response to the outbreak of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, FYEP also designed and launched two COVID-19 Response Programs for our frontline healthcare workers—an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Program for doctors and nurses’ online upskilling, rolled out in partnership with Dow University of Health Sciences; and a Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Healthcare (RMNCAH) Upskilling Program for community and facility based doctors, nurses, lady health workers, and midwives across Pakistan, developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and rolled out by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination in coordination with the Health Services Academy. FYEP is a licensee of Generation: You Employed, Inc., a global nonprofit founded by McKinsey & Company in 2014 which works to transform education to employment systems to support employment.
